As we go through life we always hope we are making the right choices.
Or at least we hope that others will be happy with our choices.
How do you make your decisions?
Do you get analysis paralysis?
Do you go with your first thought?
Do you do nothing and wait for others to go first?
Our lives are all about change. Wait long enough and a change will happen to you. Outside forces and thoughts are creating changes that affect you.
Lately, I've made many changes and so has Activerain. Sometimes these changes are just about growing and learning new ways to make things better. It's not that we have to be competitive or win.
Improvement is not intended to be unkind. It is a realignment of thought. A ripple effect that spirals out from us...and creates our world for the better.
Changes are not always what we envision, but they are vehicles to learn and teach others.
I have the saying, "You make the path as you walk" scratched into one of my paintings that I see each morning. I know where it is and not everyone sees it as they view the image. It is a powerful thought that starts my day.
We each have our own path to walk and we don't need to follow others in order to be on the right path. Make a decision off the cuff. You will know inside if you experience peace and joy in your daily life.
Take a moment to get centered in your life if you feel things are barreling out of your control. Slow down a savor what you do have and taste power within.
What you are looking for is not outside yourself, you don't need to search for it and other people are not holding it hostage for you to discover.
You are the success and you have all the tools right now to make the path as you walk.

It is so true. it is the business version of "you are what you eat"
I always look at things as how I would want to be treated.. How will it help/hurt my reputation... and strive to be as good as I can be to build my reputation as the trusted advisor. Better to say no to something that will hurt.
Now if I was as good at applying this to my personal life as I am in Business!!!

Lizette--Change is good. I too, changed my brokerage this year. I keep getting asked why but my answer will not be the same as anyone else's. It comes down to it was the right thing for me to do. Beautiful painting...Is it one of yours?
Words of wisdom. I surely needed to read them right now. As you know, I feel lost and confused like no other time in my life. I know "this too has pass"; I am hoping sooner than later.

I believe there is lots of wisdom and insight in what you have posted here. I am not doing such a good job of keeping tabs on Active Rain, as far as changes. I heard about third hand.
Lizette: Taking some rudimentary swimming lessons and then just delving into the water was the way I learnt to swim and I've been using that same method with everything else in life. Delving in has been my greatest forte. Being sure that I'll make some mistakes along the way and understanding that I will use those mistakes to help pave the way to progress has also helped. Good post; thank you!

Lizette, great post and love your picture. I make decisions as I go...but I also think FIRST, and then wait, and then ponder, and then decide. Not based on what others do or do not do....I don't like change much, but I'm willing to change me to become better and allow others the same wide path. As for the changes that happen here on Active Rain? I love watching that happen. The world? Well, that's a different story. I like some of the good old days' integrity and honesty.

Lizette, some changes are good, some not so. It is often just looking back that we can tell if a decision was the right one or not. That photo is AWESOME!
