Once again Punxsutawney Phil has seen his shadow.
Why in the world would Kentucky need six more weeks of winter?

At least 97 times he has seen his shadow since 1887 records have been kept. Only 15 times he did not.
My dog, Chanel was out for her test too.
She said that the ice crunchy grass was an excellent indicator that she might be limiting her outside activities for the next 6 weeks.
I think she would just like to be in her own home. We've been gone for 6 days because of the ice storm.
Kentucky sure needs a break from winter this year. Is Punxsutawney Phil ever wrong?

I sure hope so, this winter has been brutal here too, not quite as bad as yours but I am ready for spring, course I am every year and when it gets here, yahoo-wohoot-yipeeee-ty-yipeee-YAH! Good post Lizette, made me smile today, thanks!
Lizette: From what I have seen, Punxsutawney Phil is almost always right. What you might do is watch the movie Groundhog Day for a nice escape from all the snow and frozen grass. Poor lil Chanel.. :(
Hi Lizette,
Chanel is looking well! Sweet as ever. Sorry to hear that you have been out of your home hopefully you will be back soon.
Let's hope Phil is wrong this year as I would love to see spring much sooner than six weeks!!
Steve - I'm sure ready for spring too!
Karen Anne - Chanel likes to stand out there and sniff everything in the yard while I freeze to death trying to get her to get inside.
Trace - That little girl is back to her sassy self. I'm sooo thankful. Hope you have been doing well!
Darn that Phil! I hate cold weather. But at least I have power! Snowed all day here, but luckily did not stick to the streets, just the grass. Here's hoping you get some electricity tomorrow! Give Chanel a hug for me.
Lizette, sorry to hear about your ice storm....where I'm from it happens all the time in the winter so we are always prepared...Some time I forget its alot warmer down south.....and I have been ready for spring since last fall.....peace zane
Lizette,
I am not to sure that Phil has any real say in when winter will be over. I would go with Chanel!!!
Connie - What a difference a day makes. I'm so thankful for heat!
Zane - This is one year I am really looking forward to Spring too.
Don - Chanel has mostly fluff going on.
I think alot of people would agree with you on this.
Lizette,
Somebody important needs to give that groundhog a stern talking to.
Jenette - Is that a gerbil?
Steven - I'll let Chanel tell him what's what!
Hi Lizette,
That is the best news I have heard in a while I am so happy for her and you!! I am fine thank you!!
