I can't believe a whole year has gone by since my last Thanksgiving rant.
A whole year spent hanging out at the crib, begging for treats, checking out strange smells in the yard, barking at nothing, baths...Ugh!
Well... anyway it's mostly been a good year.
Oohhhh, yeah...except for the stay in the animal hospital when I thought I was dying. I was so sick and couldn't stop shaking and throwing up nothing.
Dr. Taylor said it was kidney failure. Not much hope...I was in a grey area and I might not make it he said. Everyone cried and looked sad around me. Scary!
What did that mean?
Actually, I really didn't know what was happening... but I started getting better each day. Mommie said hundreds of people (angels) prayed for me on Activerain. It must be true...I'm lucky to be here...lucky to be anywhere!
You guys are true blue friends like my green teddy!
This Thanksgiving I am truly thankful. I'm no longer that spoilt brat I was last year.(I included my story below for you to see what I'm talking about)
Really...I've changed!
I'm excited to tell ya that I'm no longer banned from Thanksgiving Dinner. Why? Cause Mommie is having the outlaws over at our house this year. Yippee!

I'm feeling so much better now. Mamaw comes over to take care of me a lot and she pretty much does what ever I tell her to do.
Like fetch more treats! She still feels sorry for me. Being sick is for the birds!
Yeah...I've turned a corner this year and I'm gonna try to be a good girl.
I have a good life and I try not to bug Mommie too much when she is busy blogging.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Be sure to give your doggies or kitties lots of love and treats.
XOXO
Chanel

This was last year....
I'm NOT Invited To THANKSGIVING Dinner!! RANT
Can you believe it! I'm NOT invited to go this year!
I can't imagine why I of all dogs excuse me...DIVAS is not allowed to be at the dinner. I have spent days planning just what would be perfect to wear in my hair. I have been soooo GOOD!
It all started a few days ago when Mommy got a call from her brother (Uncle Quarter...his real name is Porter). He invited her to his house for the dinner.
I didn't realize that I was not included. She told me this morning that I could not go. She tried to explain that he was concerned that I would chase their NEW kitties and be a general nuisance. WHAT! Like I would even. Who would even bother with some stinkin barn cats? Why would I get off my pillow to do something so silly?
Don't they know my name is CHANEL? All that stinky dog stuff is for other dogs. I spend my day being pampered and catered to. Mommy does what I want! I run the show! All plans, trip and excursions include me(and my green teddy). I even have a bed in Mommy's car.
It's ALL about ME! ME! ME!
Well...all this ranting is making me sleepy. Besides, there will be peace and quiet here at the crib for awhile. Mommy will surely be missing me and will give me lots of kisses and treats when she gets back from stuffing her face with turkey. Hey I might even do better by not going to Thanksgiving Dinner! She will feel guilty and give me more attention! OK...now I feel much better. Thanks for listening!
Happy Thanksgiving EVERYONE!!!!
Love,
CHANEL

I'm glad Chanel pulled thru the medical scare ---- and that she wasn't banned from Thanksgiving dinner again this year :) She is definitely a cutie!
Really glad to see Chanel doing so well today! Our pets bring so much to our lives, and add their own extra special touch around the holidays.
Dear Chanel: Angels were praying and just us people too! And God listened.
You are a good girl but still, always the #1 Diva Dog. You and your Mommie are great friends to have. I hope your Thanksgiving Day was super! And lots of treats and hugs.
Love you,
Aunt Connie
Chanel, You see what a heart full of Thanks will do for you?? Isn't it more fun than being a spoiled baby? Well my Mommy & I are so thankful that you are all better. One day maybe we can romp on the beach together, Huh? tell your Mommy thanks for being so patient with you! Now you go and play you little angel You~
XOXOX Bella
Chanel,
We (Kiann and I) are so happy to see that you are fine!! Lots of prays for you were going on in this house. I am glad your mommie is having Thanksgiving so you can attend!!
On another note Lizette do you use a swifer or that kind of stuff for cleaning in your home? As I was sent an email a little while ago about swifer cleaning products are very toxic to animals. My daughter also told me that years ago when she had a dog they found that out as she used swifer on her hardwood floors. I forgot about her telling me that until I read the email that was sent by a friend. You might know this or not use those kinds of products but I thought I would mention it to you just in case.
PS. Chanel you are such a pretty girl!!
LOL... well it is good to see that Chanel is not so spoiled this year! Too bad that didnt work for Kayla's dog!
It's so good to hear happy endings! Chanel you are a gorgeous baby!!!
Oh my, my sisters Sassy had kidney failure too. Is this something that happens with this breed? Yikes. Glad you're OK and having a nice Holiday Chanel. :)
