Yes! I saw it with my own two eyes in Richmond, Kentucky! The annual Christmas parade came right down beautifully decorated Main Street last night and it was absolutely the best one yet!
I was with a party of 5 that have moved here recently and they were amazed that there were hundreds of local Madison County residents packing the streets.
The participants in the parade handed out kettle-corn, candy, balloons and souvenirs. Everywhere you looked there was a happy face.
Included in the parade were decorated vehicles of all kinds like cement trucks, huge wreckers, floats, buses and police cars. Marching Bands were playing christmas music and children were screaming with excitement!
I couldn't believe how long it lasted but it seemed for hours! Then right at the end of it all was Santa and Mrs. Claus on the back of a fire engine.
We happily made our way down the street among the vendors selling trinkets, balloons and other fun stuff. My friends and I decided to add more to our experience by walking a few blocks to Madison Gardens. We were warmly greeted at the door by Tom & Steve (The famous owners). There's nothing like their hot wings, a few beers and fabulous live music of Stan & Zack. Being here really topped off the parade and we all throughly enjoyed the atmosphere of the Gardens.
Hours later, we realized we needed to wander back up the street to the car. It was a night were you never looked at your watch and hated for it to end.
Reluctantly, but with smiles on our faces we headed home.
P.S. How does Santa get around the world in one night?

Christina, Chanel is the boss!. She made sure Santa knows what she wants for Christmas.
Steve, Florida sounds good about now. It is 39 here today! I need to pack my bags and head south.
Howdy Lizette
I really like the photo on your post. All animal like Santa just like kids, be them small or big ones.
Have a good one

It's always sad when those nights come to an end. It's even worse when you realize you gotta go back out into the cold and walk a few blocks to get back to the car.
Glad you got a chance to enjoy it, and I'm happy your puppy got to meet Santa. Wonder what she has on her Christmas list?
Dale - Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a nice Christmas.
Ginger - Chanel can't hold a grudge very long. Besides she did get to tell Santa what she wanted for Christmas. Most dogs have to get their owners to write a letter. She's truly a diva.
Erby- Yeah...I was thing just that as we rolled out later to walk 4 blocks to the car. BRrrrrrr! Chanel better not have too much on that list. Santa can't afford her!
