Richmond Pottery Festival and Kids Fest - Irvine McDowell Park - Richmond KY - Crimson Duval
The best kept secrets around for a place to find great handmade pottery is the Richmond Pottery Festival. There is something for everyone and also a Kids Fest that is presented byMeijers. The location is in historic Irvine McDowell Park right on Lancaster Ave.
One of the featured potters is Richmond KY artist Crimson Duval.
I found out about her pottery a few years ago when I bought one piece at an event where I was displaying my own art.
This one item has kept me intrigued to the point I wanted to start a collection of her artistic style of functional dishware.
Commissioned dishware can also be designed if you wish to have more matched pieces of a specific piece of Crimson's designs.
I feel this is truly an imaginative and unique style that will be a future collectible.
See more of her work in Crimson's website gallery

Lizette--Looks like cute stuff! Did you pick up a little bowl for Chanel to eat her treats from? Enjoy your weekend!
I love whimsical pottery like that! It's got a personality all of its own!
Lizette,
After having tried my hand at pottery years ago, I appreciate how hard it is to do such great work.
Never tried pottery, not even after watching GHOST... what a great scene that was. But I did get tempted at tryng it (making pottery) in Mexico one time. The class started at 10:00 am. Drinks were served at 9:00 am. If there was ever a time, that would have been it! :)
WOW, how fun is that!
Great photo of the pottery too
