Lizette, this is fantastic, there are more available jobs in Lexington,KY than in some states of the country. This is the trend that needs to catch on nationwide and then we will be back in with "the consumer confidence". Great news!
Lizette, Great news. The mayor of Lexington is being pro-active to help people get jobs.
Lizette - That is great news. We just had in Simi Valley, Ca. a major employer, you might have heard of them, Farmers Insurance? Yes 1200 employees being transferred to another area. Not without work which is great but our 2nd largest employer leaving.
Xerox is a great addition and great for the economy of Kentucky. Congrats and nice Video.
Lexington KY has fared better than many cities since the recession. I can remember a client flying in to look at farms ans we stopped by the mall. She was amazed at how busy it was with people buying. The parking lot was full and this was the middle of the week. Home sales are doing well also.
What a great boon for Lexington. I bet they get thousands of qualified applicants from both Kentucky and Indiana and possible Ohio!
Lizette, WOW this is such great news. Are people going to be relocating to the area as well to fill some of the positions or will they be hiring all locally?
Any time a company is growing, we have to be happy about it. We in Austin have been fortunate in that regard through the recession as well. Good for Lexington!
