I hear you knocking but you can't come in...

I hear you knocking but you can't come in...

Yellow birdThe other day as we were working in the office, Jane, my assistant said, "Lizette come in here, there is a bird that keeps pecking on the window!"

I thought she was kidding. So I came into her office to see since I could clearly hear some tapping on the glass.

Over and over he tapped on our window and would perch himself in the tree to look into the window.

He did seem to want to hang around and wasn't afraid of us.

Grabbing one of my cameras, I was able to snap this picture of him.

I believe he was an American Goldfinch.

It was nice to see him and wonder what the message was that day.

Maybe, it was just for us to slow down and take a break. Real estate can be a stressful business. Don't take things so seriously. We did get a good laugh from watching him. What a beauty he was!

Finding a new home in the Bluegrass has never been so easy!

So what did he tell you, Kentucky? You're little birdie? Bet to win on Blue Star in the fifth.

Lizette - We can't get that close to finches in our area. Unless you had a dynamic telephoto and it was far away, what a wonderful shot. Birds are beautiful. Except crows and buzzards.

I took this picture maybe 3 feet from him. Nice that he stood still for at least 3 or 4 shots. This was the best one.

Lizette,
Maybe the bird wanted to say hello and needed some attention from you, what about whether the bird wanted to build his home and was looking a help from a realtor? you never know !

Hopefully some one didn't open their window and he got out.  Maybe he was looking for his home...
