I am always out with my camera...well most of the time. If not I take a few shots with my cell phone. This picture was taken in Madison County while I was researching for a blog post. It is something beautiful but oddly out of place. What do you think it is? Where did it come from?

Winner gets a piece of Kentucky in the mail.
Let the guessing begin...

I can not wait to see what this turns out to be - I have NO idea, but I think I need to follow this one to its conclusion! LOL!
Lizette - Although I would love to receive a piece of Kentucky in the mail, I have zero idea what that is. :)
I have no idea what it is. But it kinda looks like a conjoined Pillsbury Doughboy....one saying "whoohoo" and the other saying "Don't do that"!
:)
Lizette--With all those holes maybe it is some kind of ceramic holder for a burning incense? But really I have no idea either!
Nobody close so far...no cigar
Where is Nutsy?...he knows everything.
I actually had the same thought as Jody - looks like a happy face and a not-so-happy face.
I think this might be someone's breast implants they had removed, encased in plaster, and then added the holes for interest.
Lizette,
Nutsy is still studyng that one. I think it might be one of Charlie Buell's many bibbs.
Lizette, it looks like a rock climbing hold to me :)
Connie - You have a vivid imagination! Very close.
Somebody's body part like an ear or finger encased in plaster????
If so, ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww......

Looks like I'll have to keep my Kentucky item for the next contest.
This picture was taken at Berea College. It was on a wall behind a building. The piece of stone had been donated and from the Byzantine Church of St. Mary Chakotratia Istanbul, Turkey.(or so it said on a sign that identified all the pieces) I Googled the words but didn't find the exact origin of this piece. Hhmmmmm....
Hi Lizette - I had a friend in the 60s who went to Berea when it had a strong farming/work component. What is it like these days?
