It's hard to be creative sometimes. Writing a blog post can be tough for beginners and even experienced writers.
As an artist, I know I have to be inspired to paint. The same idea holds true when I write in my blog. Many times a picture can help me conjure up a story,
The pigs were real and stuck in my head. They were only 2 1/2 hours away from here.
People asked me how I found the flying pigs I used in a previous post. Actually, I had the story in mind long before I had the pictures of the pigs.
I knew where they were located but always forgot to take a picture of them. So I wrote my story, then asked my friend and Activerainer, Connie King in Pigeon Forge to get the picture.
They are flying in all their glory at Five Oaks Shopping Outlet in a miniature golf course. She had called me and said she was going shopping over there so I asked if she might get their picture on her way out.
Here's a before picture that Connie took:

Then after my Photoshop tweaking:

He looks like he is flying all by himself. The natural shadowing from the overhead sun made it look real too!

Lizette, That is very cool! I have tried to learn photoshop but when I updated my computer it would not take my old photoshop so now I just use paint shop.
Hi Lizette,
That is so cool. I also love your Blog N Kentucky.
Lizette,
You are so right about how a picture can inspire a new blog article.
Nice photoshop skills too.

There are a lot of posts I have done that have a picture or a video at the source... I just HAD to use the image.
It's really hard to get those pigs to hold still long enough to get a picture!
Great photos Lizette. I hope my wife doesn't see your post, she'll insist on getting some of those pigs for herself.
I think many times a photo is a great motivator for a post. Expecially when you are feeling dry or don't feel you have much to say.
Yep, those pigs just keep on flyin', bet they are tired at the end of the day!
Great job Lizette, photo shop can do amazing things and make an artist life much easier..well depending on the medium you are using to create :)
Lizette,
It works both ways for me. Sometimes I see something, know what I will write when I see it, so I snap a photo. Other times I will close my eyes, insert a photo in a blog post and then write about it. That goes back to challenging myself in the old days of working in journalism.
I like the picture. I do not much about photo shop and am inspired to try it.
Hi, Lizette. Pictures inspire a lot of my posts and I've learned to take the picture first and write the post later! I could have SUCH a great "Speechless Sunday" post but it needs three pictures and I only have two. I can't tell you how much time my riding buddies and I have spent going back and forth on a particular trail looking for it; we all saw it and we thought we knew where it was.
Using my Blackberry has been invaluable for those times when I hadn't brought my camera.
Usually I write and then come up with the photo but an image or a scene has often inspired a blog or two on that subject. They are some things that just have to be shared!
