Kentucky Horse Park In Lexington KY To Host The 2010 World Equestrian Games
The Kentucky Horse Park is really beefing up it's presence for the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games. New widened roads, barns, and the new indoor arena are all part of the plan.
I volunteered last fall for the Vaulting Event that was a pre-view of was was to come for Lexington KY. We were there to practice for the big event this September.
Another event to practice was a Reining Event the week before. Not everything is finished as you drive through the Kentucky Horse Park you can see that barns are still being built next to the arena. Also a new lane is being installed on the I-75 exit there on Ironworks Road.

The Kentucky Horse Park is the place to go if you love horses and want to see what different breeds of horses there are. The 24 different breeds are on display in the Breeds Barn.
A Hall Of Champions includes famous race horses like Cigar and Funny Cide. They are shown daily in presentations. Other times, you may see them just eating grass in the paddocks or munching hay in their stalls.
Be sure to check out the International Museum of the Hose and National saddlebred Museum at the Kentucky Horse Park. Exhibits are on display of past champions and their trophies.
This is a picture of the new indoor arena. It is part of the new construction that will be used for the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games.

These young riders were a part of the vaulting event waiting for the presentations to the winners.

Hi Lizette, I've been there , tho years ago, 25 years at least . It was beautiful country, rolling hills , beautiful horese, and homes. I'd love to visit again, wonder if it's changed some since I visited.I'd love to sell some of the lovely horse farms in your area. Keep me in mind if you know anyone relocating to seacoast NH please!
